The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards winners were announced last night and LGBT-inclusive soap Days of Our Lives took home the top prize, Outstanding Drama Series, and series star Chandler Massey picked up his second Daytime Entertainment Emmy in Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of gay character Will Horton. The Ellen DeGeneres Show took home the Daytime Entertainment Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment, along with six Creative Arts category wins. LGBT-inclusive soap The Bold and the Beautiful netted wins in Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team and Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team. Click here for a full list of winners.
