Darren Young, WWE Superstar, spoke out about being gay yesterday while waiting for his luggage at LAX. A cameramen from TMZ asked him if he thought a gay wrestler could be successful and Young responded, "Absolutely. Look at me. I’m a WWE Superstar and to be honest with you, I’ll tell you right now I’m gay and I’m happy. Very happy."
This morning Young appeared on the Today show with Matt Lauer where we spoke about receiving advice from Jason Collins, who made history earlier this year as the first out gay active male pro athlete in one of America's major leagues. "I even talked to Jason Collins last night too and he actually gave me advice on how to handle this whole situation, how to cope with it and be a positive and strong individual," Young said of how Collins inspired him.
