Today, GLAAD announced the nominees for the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards and some of the nominees include progressive voices within the GOP.
Talk show host Meghan McCain's Raising McCain, which airs on Pivot, dedicated an episode to LGBT issues, during which she talked to Wilson Cruz, Wade Davis and several other openly gay personalities. The episode also showed Cindy McCain being honored by The Trevor Project.
Meghan tweeted about her excitement when she heard of the nomination for the episode.
I can't believe Raising McCain is nominated for a @glaad media award! This is hands down one of the great honors of my career. cc: @wcruz73
