Throughout California, Westfield Group got shoppers to build "a tower of strength" in support of LGBT youth everywhere. This was just part of how one of the world's largest shopping center portfolios participated in the anti-bullying campaign Spirit Day in October.

Founded in 2010, Spirit Day, is an international, united stand against bullying and show of support for LGBT teens and young adults everywhere. Each year, millions participate around the world. In 2013, Spirit Day saw unprecedented levels of support from people, schools, organizations, companies, landmarks, and celebrities "going purple" for LGBT youth.

With photo booths in Los Angeles, Culver City, and Topanga Plaza, customers had pictures taken for free (including some of GLAAD's staff, pictured above), which were later incorporated into one giant installation at the Culver City location. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump and Cody Lassen from GLAAD's Board of Directors were present for the unveiling, and for the opportunity to bring attention to anti-LGBT bullying.
