Dalai Lama: Marriage equality is 'individual business'

His Holiness the Dalai Lama sat down with Larry King in a rare and personal interview that included discussion of marriage equality. In the interview, the Dalai Lama stated that marriage equality is a personal matter, to be decided by each person. However, he condemned bullying of LGBT people, calling it a "violation of human right."

Recently, the Dalai Lama also recognized several 'Unsung Heroes of Compassion." On the honorable mention was The Reverend Megan Rohrer, the former executive director of WELCOME, a community response to poverty in San Francisco. Reverend Rohrer is a transgender Lutheran pastor, who was received into the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America following its policy change allowing LGBT clergy.
