Thanks to the Queen Elizabeth's signature, England and Wales have passed Marriage Equality. Due to a mandatory 15 day waiting period, first marriages will take place on March 29th. As of March 13th couples previously married in other countries became legal spouses under the law. England and Wales join other countries in passing marriage equality, those include: Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland, Argentina, Denmark, France, Brazil, Uruguay, and New Zealand. This is an incredible achievement in the global equality movement. Northern Ireland becomes the only part of United Kingdom with no advancement in the equality movement.
