USA Network created the Characters Unite Awards to recognize standout individuals working to eradicate hate and intolerance in their community and the world through their own projects or donated time and resources. Nominations are open now through March 31, and this is your chance to nominate yourself or someone you know who is helping to "create a more united USA." Ten winners will each receive a $5,000 grant to continue work on their project, and will be featured both on-air and online.
To enter, please submit an essay no more than 500 words and a photo of the nominee at CharactersUnite.com, where you can also learn more about selection criteria. Nominees will be evaluated on character, impact, and influence.
