Biloxi, Mississippi news anchor Dave Elliott posted something on his Facebook wall and we aren't sure if it's supposed to be supportive, an insult, or just funny (and maybe it's all 3).

It's good to know that stories about LGBT people and the issue that are important to us are making it into the news. And, frankly, the idea of a gaycation sounds good (although we would call it a 'vacation'). But we are aware that there are more stories to be told and more work to be done until we achieve fair, accurate, and inclusive coverage of LGBT people.
The station has distanced itself from Elliott's comments, stating “we are not happy at all with the post or any imagined ‘free publicity’” that the station gets from it. However, Elliot's bio includes that he is the on WLOX anchor on seven days a week.
Continue supporting GLAAD's work, so we don't take a vacation/gaycation.
