Jacquelline Fuller, director of corporate giving for Google Inc., resigned as board member of World Vision after the group quickly reversed a policy that would have allowed the group to hire gay employees who get married.
Fuller said in a statement to the Associated Press that she is still a “huge fan” of the group’s work for the poor, said she resigned because "I disagreed with the decision to exclude gay employees who marry.” Fuller had served on the board for more than two years.
Last week, World Vision reversed its decision to make the group more inclusive for LGBT people after upsetting anti-LGBT activists.
