LGBTQ Peru advocates counter negative messages with billboard campaign

After a billboard went up in Lima Peru quoting God and Leviticus, Meme Comunica invited followers to submit wording for an alternative billboard. Advocates and wags came up with some witty submissions, like "God says: I love you but I need money. 10% of your salary should do the trick" and "God says you shall spend your money to do good, not to foment hate."

Peru's legislature is currently considering whether to legalize civil unions. LGBT advocates are holding a march for equality on Saturday April 12. The government's Justice Ministry supports civil unions while the Catholic Church opposes them.
