A massive class action lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court of Northern Georgia challenging the state's ban on marriage equality. The suit is being filed by Lambda Legal and the law firms of Bryan Cave and White & Case on behalf of three same-sex couples and a widowed lesbian.

The other plaintiffs are Christopher Inniss and Shelton Stroman of Snellville, GA, Rayshawn Chandler and Avery Chandler of Jonesboro, GA, and Jennifer Sisson, whose wife, Pamela Drenner died of Ovarian cancer (the couple married in New York in 2013).
