A community member created a dance troupe for young Latinos that becomes a safe space from bullying for lesbian, gay, straight and bisexual youth.  The Massachusetts troupe, Los Marchantes, meets in the leader's living room after school and shares career goals and support as they practice salsa and bachata moves.  Census reports reveal that the Latino population is younger than the general population in the United States.  School climate reports reveal that school administrators need to do a better job responding to bullying, because many youth don't feel comfortable reporting the incidents and when they do they say that administrators and teachers don't take action.

In the video that accompanies the article, two of the youth dance to Marc Anthony's recent hit "Vivir mi Vida," the lyrics say "I'm going to laugh, I'm going to dance, I'm going to live my life, la, la, la, la."  The young people in the group tell the reporter that the group feels like family.
