Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.
1) Documented, a film that follows Pulitzer Prize-winning, gay journalist Jose Antonio Vargas' experiences after publicly revealing his immigration status, will be released today in New York and expand to Los Angeles on May 9. Vargas in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter stressed the importance of changing culture to change the politics of immigration; saying, "When we talk about immigration, we are talking about real people and their families." Documented will also air on CNN this summer. Watch the trailer below!
2) Irish film The Bachelor Weekend opens in select cities today. Groom-to-be Fionnan is forced into a bachelor weekend camping trip with his mates - including his brother Kevin and Kevin's partner, also named Kevin - and things may take a turn for the worst when he is forced to include his fiance's brother "The Machine." Over the weekend, the group of men come to learn more about each other and find that maybe they really aren't that different after all.
3) Performer Jerick Hoffer, best known by his drag queen persona Jinkx Monsoon, has released a new single! "Coffee and Wine," the first single from the forthcoming debut record The Inevitable Album, is a fun burlesque-show-tune hybrid with jazz undernotes. 4) Short-running cult classic The Comeback is coming back for a 
six-episode run on HBO. Originally aired in 2005 and starring Lisa Kudrow, the show was cancelled after only 13 episodes. Out actor and producer Dan Bucatinsky, who most recently appeared on ABC's Scandal and played Valerie's publicist Billy on the first season of The Comeback, will be part of the series' creative team as a writer.
5) HBO's Ryan Murphy film adaptation of Larry Kramer's play The Normal Heart which focuses on the early days of the AIDS crisis in New York and young activists working to spur the medical and political establishments to action, has released a behind the scenes featurette including interviews with Kramer himself and film stars Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons and Taylor Kitsch. Watch the featurette below, and don't forget to catch the film itself, which premieres on HBO May 25 at 9pm.
6) Sarah Silverman has been announced to join the cast of Masters of Sex. Silverman will play Helen, a "self-professed psychic and palm reader" determined to reunite with her girlfriend Betty (Annaleigh Ashford). The show follows two researchers who changed the field of human sexuality in academia, working for over three decades. You can find the second season of Masters of Sex July 13 on Showtime.
7) EJ Johnson, out son of basketball legend Magic Johnson, has signed an overall deal with E! Network. He will
feature more prominently in the second season of #RichKids of Beverly Hills, as well as appearing on other E! shows, including Fashion Police, E! News and as a special correspondent during February's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Johnson will also collaborate with E! to develop two new projects.
8) Rosie O'Donnell has been announced to return to ABC Family's The Fosters in August! She will reprise her role as Rita, the foster care worker who worked with Callie during her stay at the Girls United house, in two episodes. The series, which recently received the
award for Outstanding Drama Series at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, will return to ABC Family June 16 at 9pm.
9) Eddie Redmayne has been cast as the lead in The Danish Girl, a film inspired by the true love story of Danish painter Lili Elbe and wife Gerda Gottlieb and how their relationship was changed during Lili's transition. Les Miserables director Tom Hooper is set to direct the picture. "The Danish Girl is an extraordinary love story and a story about finding your true self," Hooper told The Hollywood Reporter.
10) Documentary Out in Alabama is looking for funding help on Kickstarter, the film documents the LGBT experience in Alabama and the communities that have formed despite previous obstacles. The film lists Academy Award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer Cynthia Wade as a consultant. Funds raised on Kickstarter will help cover production costs including travel to interview subjects, equipment, housing, crew and more.
