Lt. Kyle Bandermann decided it was time to propose to his boyfriend Lance Buchanan, who he met in the fall of 2012. Kyle originally told Lance that his coworker was getting engaged and asked Lance to come take photos of the event.
The meeting spot was one of the first they had visited in Washington, D.C.
