Baked by Melissa is a bakery that sells scrumptious, bite-size cupcakes of all flavors, ranging from mint chocolate chip to tie-dye. The business was first opened in Soho in 2009 by its founder Melissa Ben-Ishay, who has loved to bake ever since she was young. She believed that by making smaller cupcakes in a larger variety of flavors, dessert-lovers could enjoy more for less! People all over New York love to munch on these bite-size wonders so much that there are now a whopping 14 shops!
Melissa often promotes temporary deals, such as her chocolate pretzel cupcakes, which are only available for about a month at a time. A Mini of the Month and Holiday cupcakes are introduced as limited-edition offerings thoughout the yearand she also offers E-Gift cards, party favors, and custom cupcakes for special occasions.
For the month of June, Baked by Melissa has introduced a limited-edition cupcake to celebrate NYC Pride Week. The flavor, Wildberry Pride consists of wildberry cake, white vanilla icing, and a berry extreme candy topping. It will be available for pre-ordering starting Friday, June 13th, and in stores June 25-29th!
Wildberry Pride can be ordered both online and via phone in increments of 25 or picked up a la carte in Baked by Melissa stores. They ship nationwide and also deliver within the NYC area. Shipping orders must be placed by 3pm on Friday, June 27th, so don't forget to put your order in and show your Pride!
The staff at GLAAD was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of these delicious rainbow treats, and have to say that we enjoyed them very much! We couldn't stop stuffing our faces. Look here:
