Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.
1. The Weinstein Company's biopic Yves Saint Laurent tells the story of the legendary French designer from his days as a young fashion assistant presenting his first collection for Dior, to ascending into great success in the fashionworld. This film is not to be confused with the competing biopic Saint Laurent, which premiered at Cannes and that Sony Classics recently acquired. Yves Saint Laurent premieres in limited release June 25, check out the trailer below.
2. Martin Sheen will play Jane Fonda's gay husband on the Netflix show Grace and Frankie, also staring Lily Tomlin. The comedy centers on Fonda and Tomlin; former enemies whose lives are thrown upside down when their husbands announce they are in love and plan to get married. Grace and Frankie will debut on Netflix sometime in 2015. Out indie pop artist
3. Julia Weldon has released a music video for "Meadow," a track from her new album Light is a Ghost, out now. Check out the premiere at the After Ellen website and below.
4. Out musician Big Freedia, who helped popularize the hip hop genre of "bounce music" has released a new album titled Just be Free. Freedia is also the star of the GLAAD Media Award-winning television series Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce. Just be Free is out now and available on iTunes.
5. The Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto is featured on the new dance song "Running Low," by Belgian producer Netsky. As for the band, the last album from The Gossip was released in 2012, so fans waiting for new material will want to check it out. Listen to the song here.
6. In the short 10 minute documentary On the Move, features a gay Ugandan man named Julius as he recounts his personal story of fleeing Uganda and becoming a refugee in the Netherlands. The film was directed by Netherlands journalist Patrick Buis, and can be seen below.

7. The short educational film Operation Marriage, based on Cynthia Chin-Lee's award winning children's book, tells the story about a sister and brother trying to get their lesbian moms married before Proposition 8's passing in California. Quentin Lee (Ethan Mao, White Frog) is set to direct the film, which will star Mindy Cohn (The Facts of Life) and Tamlyn Tomita (The Joy Luck Club). The film is currently raising production funds on Hatchfund. You can learn more about the film and donate here.
