Out mixed-martial arts fighter, Jessica Aguilar, has successfully defended her World Series of Fighting Women’s Strawweight championship. Aguilar, who goes by "Jag," became the first WSOF champion to successfully defend her title.

GLAAD was proud to have Agular at the 25th Annual Media Awards in New York earlier this year, where she talked about LGBT inclusion in sports, along with other openly LGBT athletes WWE Superstar, Darren Young, Olympic speed skater Blake Skjellerup, and NCAA basketball player Derrick Gordon.
GLAAD's President, Sarah Kate Ellis, congratulated Aguilar on Twitter.
