'Buyer and Cellar' is a hit off-Broadway comedy by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Stephen Brackett. After playing in New York for a year at the Barrow Street Theatre and having taken the city by storm, it is now showing at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.

Michael Urie of 'Ugly Betty' stars in the play as Alex, a gay actor who dreams of working at the Mark Taper Forum, but instead gets hired to run the shopping mall in Barbra Streisand's basement. On his role, Urie says, "In real life, I am bringing 'Buyer and Cellar' to the Mark Taper Forum... how cool is that?!"

This past December, The Advocate named 'Buyer and Cellar' one of its top ten LGBT-inclusive shows of 2013, describing it as a "respectful but rib-tickling one-man wonder." The New York Post also referred to it as "fantastically funny!" Are you convinced yet?

But, the shining reviews don't stop there! The Orange County Register has dubbed the play as "Wickedly funny!" and it is "Spellbindingly hilarious!" according to LA Weekly. 94.7 The Wave wrote, "The funniest night of theater I have experienced in, no lie, a decade. See it before it gets away!"

The play will continue to show in LA through August 17th. To buy tickets, visit the play's page. For more information, check out the Center Theatre Group's updates on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
