Revlon has launched a social media campaign using the hashtag #GoBOLD, and it is hosted by none other than Laverne Cox! The empowering new web series provides three contestants with secrets to success, such as learning how to quickly read a room, as they compete against each other for various prizes. The final winner will be named the new Revlon Provocateur and awarded $10,000.
In episode one, titled "Go Define Yourself," contestants meet Mentor Provocateur Joanna Coles, the Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine, who challenges them to each create a one-page magazine spread that really portrays their essence and style. The purpose of the challenge is to allow the contestants to cultivatete a "personal brand" and gain practice with common techniques used in the beauty industry. Other featured guests include DJ Kiss and Fashion Designer Patricia Field. The best part of the challenge is, if you log onto the challenge's site and vote for who should win, you have a change to recieve $1,500!
GLAAD has worked with Laverne extensively over the last few years, beginning after her appearances in I Want to Work for Diddy and TRANSform Me earned both the shows GLAAD Media Award nominations for outstanding reality programs.
