The Advocate is asking for submissions to include in their upcoming photo essay titled “A Day in Gay America,” which aims to capture the rich diversity in the everyday lives of LGBT Americans. The Advocate is looking for images of real-life moments taken any time on November 9, 2012. Submissions do not need to be professional quality, as the Advocate looking to capture real and candid moments – from the gritty to the glamorous. Photos can be submitted through the Advocate’s online form or via Twitter and Instagram by using the hashtag #DayInGay.
The best photos will be published on Advocate.com as part of the photo essay. Click here to see more photos from last year’s project.
