1. ABC Family has renewed original drama series Switched at Birth for a fourth season. Switched at Birth tells the story of two teenage girls who discover they were accidentally switched as newborns in the hospital. The show's cast features lesbian student Natalie and her girlfriend Hilary, the third season finale airs Monday night on ABC Family.
2. The E! Network announced that entertainment correspondents Ross Mathews, Maria Menounos, and Jason Kennedy will be the new hosts for Live from E! The panel will discuss pop culture and celebrity news and will include entertainment segments and viewer response by live social media activity. The new version of the show will air Mondays through Wednesdays at 8/7c starting Monday, September 8.
3. Out singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile has announced the acoustic Pin Drop Tour to take place this October, pre-sale tickets are available now. You can find a show near you on Brandi Carlile's website. Carlile also announced a children's book Caroline, available for pre-order now, about traveling the world while missing her niece.
4. British Christian rock singer-songwriter Vicky Beeching came out this week and talked about her faith and being a lesbian in the Christian music industry. Read more about Beeching's personal experience growing up in the Christian faith here.
5. The Arrangement, a new film about a woman who escapes the tradition of an arranged marriage to pursue her true passions and finds love with another woman along the way, is looking for help on Kickstarter.
