Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD's president and CEO, is featured in the cover story of the new issue of Gay Parent Magazinealong with her wife Kristen Ellis-Henderson and children Thomas and Kate.
The story, aptly titled "Rocking Motherhood," talks about how the two moms manage their time with all that they have on their plates- Kristen in the all-female rock band Antigone Rising, and Sarah Kate in her position at GLAAD.
The Gay Parent Magazine article says about the two, "It's good knowing there are role models for all the kids out there dreaming of becoming rock stars, marrying beautiful CEOs, and writing books about their happy families – especially if the family has two moms."
Kristen and Sarah Kate are definitely not shy of the spotlight. The two were previously featured kissing on the cover of Time Magazine for the cover story "How Gay Marriage Won" in 2013, and before that they made Go Magazine's Most Captivating Couples list in 2012. The moms of 5 year old "twins" (they each became pregnant on the same day and had Thomas and Kate three weeks apart) documented their unique story in their 2011 memoir Times Two: Two Women in Love and the Happy Family They Made.
