The GLAAD Wrap: 'Jamie Marks is Dead,' 'Last Weekend' open; 'The Normal Heart' on Blu-Ray and more!

Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.

1) Jamie Marks is Dead opens in select theaters today. The film, which premiered at Sundance this January to positive reviews, follows a teenager named Adam McCormick who is haunted by the ghost of his former classmate Jamie Marks, who now hopes to find the love and friendship he never got during his life. The film is based on the novel One for Sorrow by out author Christopher Barzak and the relationship between Jamie and Adam has been described as part of "a ghostly love triangle." 2) Last Weekend opens in New York today before rolling out to additional cities over the next month. The dramedy looks at a dysfunctional family spending one last weekend at their Lake Tahoe vacation home, including son Theo (Zachary Booth) and his boyfriend Luke (Devon Graye). The film is available now through iTunes and On Demand platforms if you can't wait for it to come to you. Watch the trailer below.

3)Fifteen years after But I'm a Cheerleader! star Natasha Lyonne and director Jamie Babbit are reuniting for the new film Fresno. Lyonne will play a lesbian hotel maid, Martha, whose sex addict sister Shannon (Judy Greer) returns to town after a series of bad decisions. When the sisters accidentally kill a hotel guest, they're forced to examine their unhealthy co-dependent relationship. Filming on Fresno is set to begin next month.

4) The Emmy-winning HBO film The Normal Heart is available now on DVD and Blu-Ray. The star-studded film is an adaptation of Larry Kramer's play of the same name and focuses on the early days of the AIDS crisis in New York City and the young activists working to spur the medical and political establishment into action. Both formats include a special behind-the-scenes look at the true story that inspired the film and the founding of HIV/AIDS advocacy group ACT UP.

5) Lost Girl star Anna Silk (Bo) announced this week that the series' upcoming fifth season will be the last. The Canadian series runs in the U.S. on Syfy and follows bisexual succubus Bo who is in on and off relationships with characters Dyson and Lauren. The series final season will be extended to 16 episodes. Check out Anna's announcement video below.

6) Out country singer Chely Wright has launched a Kickstarter to fund her newest studio album.  This will be Wright's first album since 2010's Lifted Off the Ground, the same year she came out and released her memoir Like Me.
