What to Watch: Tuesday, September 30

9:00pm: Makers: Women in Comedy, PBS (1 hr) NEW

This six part series examines the impact of the women's movement in fields that were largely closed to women for a long time with tonight's episode highlighting trailblazing female comedians including Lily Tomlin, Jane Lynch, Ellen DeGeneres and more.

9:00pm: Face Off, Syfy (1 hr) NEW

The contestants are challenged to make fun fantasy creatures from high school stereotypes. This season's cast features out contestant Stella Sensel who specializes in special effects.

9:30pm: The Mindy Project, FOX (30 mins) NEW

Mindy's tax problems could mean problems for the future of the practice, so she schemes a way to get Cliff's legal help to sort out her records. Elsewhere, Peter and Jeremy compete for Lauren's attention.

10:00pm: Awkward., MTV (30 mins) NEW

Jenna's plans for a special New Year's Eve go wrong.

10:30pm: Faking It, MTV (30 mins) NEW

When Liam goes out to a bar with a new friend, Shane becomes jealous and worries that he is being replaced.

This morning and afternoon, check your local listings for information about EllenThe Talk (CBS), The Gossip Table (VH1), The View (ABC) and The Chew (ABC). Soap operas Days of Our Lives on NBC and General Hospital on ABC (check local listings for time) both feature out characters.
