Transgender leader and advocate, Allyson Robinson, shared her journey of transition, of political activism, and of faith in an MSNBC exclusive. Allyson, who received a Master of Divinity at Baylor University, transitioned, led the efforts to overturn Don't Ask Don't Tell, and continues to be active in the LGBT movement, has been called as the transitional pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, DC, where she and her family have attended for years.
She spoke with MSNBC about how her personal journey has intersected with the movement toward LGBT acceptance in our country, and in communities of faith.
