The cast of the USA Network comedy Sirens are sending a message of support for LGBT youth and asking you to join them in standing against bullying by going purple for Spirit Day on October 16. Check out the video from Kevin Daniels, who plays gay EMT Hank St. Clare on the series, and co-star Kevin Bigley below.

Sirens follows three of Chicago's best EMTs, including out Hank (Kevin Daniels), whose sometimes silly and self-destructive ways often ruin their friendships and relationships. The series, adapted from the British show of the same name, is written by Denis Leary (Rescue Me) and Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers). Sirens was recently renewed for an expanded 13-episode second season.

Spirit Day, which will take place on October 16, inspires millions to wear purple or "go purple" online in a united stand against bullying and to show their support for LGBT youth. Each year, Spirit Day draws the participation of celebrities, corporations, media outlets, sports leagues, schools, faith institutions, national landmarks, and individuals. Spirit Day is made possible by the generous support of its national partners PepsiCo and Wells Fargo, as well as official partner Comcast-NBCUniversal, and supporting partner American Eagle Outfitters.

It's not too late to take the Spirit Day pledge. Check out glaad.org/spiritday for more about how to stand against anti-LGBT bullying and follow @GLAAD on Twitter to keep up to date with #spiritday news!
