MTV this morning announced a week-long slate of anti-bias programming to take over MTV, Logo, MTV2 and mtvU leading up to Friday's premiere of the documentary Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word, including going purple for Spirit Day on October 16. GLAAD announced this morning that Cox will light the iconic Empire State Building purple for Spirit Day on October 16. She will be joined by several of the young people featured in The T Word. On Monday, mtvU will premiere a series of "Quinnterviews" with out Girl Code comedian Quinn Marcus speaking to Millenials about how they view equality and their experiences with bias. There will also be factoids airing on the network throughout the week to educate viewers on race, gender and LGBT bias. Girl Code will dedicate an entire episode to race on Wednesday as well.

A new episode of the MTV comedy Faking It, guest starring Laverne Cox, will premiere Tuesday night and she will be doing a Twitter chat at 1:00pm EST that afternoon. The series broke new ground earlier this year when they revealed that Lauren (played by Bailey De Young) is intersex.

On Thursday, MTV, MTV2, mtvU and Logo TV will all go purple for Spirit Day on-air and online to show support for LGBT youth and stand against bullying. Viacom's Times Square jumbotron screen will also turn purple and run anti-bullying messages throughout the day.

All leading up to Friday night's premiere of the documentary Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word which will be simulcast on MTV and Logo TV at 7:00pm.
