The submission deadline for the 26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards Outstanding Blog category is Thursday, November 13, 2014. In the past, the award has been presented to The New Civil Rights Movement, Rod 2.0, Mombian, Joe.My.God., and Towleroad for their groundbreaking coverage of the LGBT community. This year, the submission fee for this category has been waived and blogs may be submitted by filling out an online form or by using the mail-in submission form. Please note that this category does not recognize individual blog posts.
The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor news and entertainment media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect our lives. They also fund GLAAD's work to amplify stories from the LGBT community that build support for equality. Events are held in New York and Los Angeles.
