Tonight, LGBTs In The News and the Los Angeles Press Club are teaming up to present a live panel engagement discussing allies in the movement for LGBT equality.
The event, entitled "Allies: We Couldn't Do it Without You," features a prodigious panel, including Diane Anderson-Minshall, editor-at-large of the Advocate and editor-in-chief of HIV Plus Magazine, Jason Stuart, openly gay star of the acclaimed 2014 film Love is Strange, and GLAAD's Tiq Milan, distinguished journalist, author, and advocate for transgender rights.
Gloria Allred, civil rights attorney, television personality and ally of the global LGBT community will be featured as well. She will be presented with LGBTs in the News' innaugural "Elgy" Award for her decades-long commitment and ongoing efforts to secure equality for all, including LGBT people.
The free panel will be hosted at the Los Angeles Press Club @ Steve Allen Theater tonight from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT).
