Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.

Tony-nominee and out actor Andrew Rannells will star in an upcoming comedy for Universal Pictures, which he will also write in collaboration with his boyfriend Mike Doyle. Universal acquired his pitch for the yet untitled movie with Judd Apatow attached to produce. Details about the plot and the release date have not yet been announced.
2) The wrap-up movie that will serve as closure for HBO's recently canceled series Looking may come sooner than expected. Frankie Alvarez, who plays Agustin on the gay-themed show, revealed the plans to shoot the movie this fall. It will be directed by Andrew Haigh, who was also behind 2011's sleeper hit Weekend and served as an executive producer on the show.
3) The first episode of George Takei's new web series It Takeis Two made its debut on Tuesday. The show stars Takei and his husband Brad Altman playing heightened versions of themselves as they tackle everyday situations. The first season will be comprised of approximately ten episodes, all of which will be available for free on their Youtube channel. Watch the first episode, entitled "Seriously," below:
4) Dyke Central, an innovative web series about a group of queer people of color living in Oakland, CA. which made an active festival run last year, debuts its first season today. The show, featuring a widely diverse cast "all over the gender expression spectrum" will be available to stream on their official website through a pay-per-view VOD platform.

Out rap artist Frank Ocean revealed on Monday that he will release a new album in July, along with his very own magazine publication entitled Boys Don't Cry. The still-untitled album will serve as a follow-up to his Grammy-winning debut studio album channel ORANGE, released in 2012.
6) Out R&B artist and songwriter Monifah has released the music video for her latest single "One Moment". This is her second single after a nearly 15-year music hiatus before her recent exposure on TV One's R&B Divas, where she married her longtime partner Terez in the third season finale.

DC Comics has announced that lesbian detective Renee Montoya will be reintroduced in The Question #1, along with several other characters who were discontinued by the New 52 reboot. The series is being written by acclaimed creator Greg Rucka, who will also bring back the character he helped famously reintroduce to the DC universe, Batwoman. The Question is a part of DC's ongoing Convergence miniseries and is available now.
8) Comic book artist Brian Andersen is currently looking for funds for "Stripling Warrior: The World's First Gay Mormon Superhero,' a comic about an everyday guy who is charged with a super responsibility. The series will explore the intersections of religion and being LGBT, and rewards for donors include access to digital issues, preview sketches and an opportunity to collaborate on cover designs.
