This week's new episode of Call the Midwife includes a story with a husband who is convicted of "gross indecency" in 1960s London after being caught with another man by the cops. Meanwhile, Nurse Crane helps a malnourished pregnant woman and Trixie helps to oversee an official church function. Call the Midwife: Sunday, 8pm on PBS.
Nurse Jackie kicks off the seventh and final season on Sunday. Jackie must fight to keep her job after she is arrested and suffers through time in a holding cell followed by a period of sedated detox. Game of Thrones returns for a fifth season this week! In the premiere, Varys encourages Tyrion to think outside the box, Stannis forces Jon to help him secure loyalty from a rival, Daenarys figures out a way to stay on her new progressive path and Cersei and Jaime try to move on after Tywin's death. British companion series Cucumber and Banana from Russell T. Davies premiere in the US on Logo on Monday! Cucumber follows Henry Best and his longsuffering partner of nine years, while Banana follows a connected group of younger LGBT people with each episode highlighting a different character as they search for love. The two series will air back-to-back. Cucumber& Banana: Monday, starting at 10pm on Logo.
Documentary The Homestretch premieres on PBS Monday as part of the Independent Lens series. The Homestretch follows three homeless teens as they navigate going to school, graduating and pursuing their futures. As their stories are told, the film explores issues of poverty, race, justice, immigration, foster care and LGBT equality.The Homestretch: Monday, 10pm on PBS.
The Orphan Black season three premiere will air simulcast on BBC America, AMC, IFC, We TV and SundanceTV. The season starts off Sarah searching for Helena who is being held captive in a mystery compound.
