Upcoming "LGBT City Agencies and Community Meet & Greet" promotes teamwork between New York's LGBT community

An LGBT City Agencies and Community Meet & Greet will be held on Monday, May 11th in New York City to foster collaboration and teamwork between the city's LGBT agencies. 

The event aims to inspire communication and teamwork between local LGBT agencies by providing a platform for them to meet and connect with one another. In doing so, the organizations can learn about the resources and services each agency can offer the LGBT community.

The LGBT City Agencies and Community Meet & Greet is a collaboration between The Mayor's Community Affairs Unit (CAU) and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center;  three federal partners, 14 city agencies, and the City Council will also participate in the event.

New York City agencies in attendance will include the Human Rights Commission, Human Resources Administration, Health and Hospitals Corporation, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Department of Education, Department of Youth and Community Development, the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs, the Administration for Children Services, the Department of Homeless Services, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Department of Small Business Services, the New York City Police Department, The Fire Department of the City of New York, and the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence.

In addition to LGBT New York City agencies, the event will also include The New York City Council - Community Engagement Division, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the United States General Services Administration, and the United States Department of Health & Human Services.

With such outstanding collaborators participating in the event, the LGBT City Agencies and Community Meet & Greet is sure to promote teamwork between LGBT organizations, allowing for a wider range of resources and services for New York City's LGBT Community, thus further promoting acceptance and support while allowing everyone to live the life they love.
