Must-See LGBT TV 5/17-23: 'About Bruce' special, Billboard Music Awards, Red Nose Day and more

Grab the remote, set your DVR or queue up your streaming service of choice! GLAAD is bringing you the highlights in LGBT on TV this week. Check back every Sunday for up-to-date coverage in LGBT-inclusive programming on TV.

E! will be airing the two-night special Keeping Up with The Kardashians: About Bruce starting Sunday. The special captures conversations between Bruce Jenner and his Kardashian family as they discuss his transition, these episodes were filmed in January before Jenner taped his interview with Diane Sawyer. At this time, Bruce Jenner has not requested that a new name or pronoun be used, therefore we are respecting his wishes and will continue to refer to Jenner by his current name and with male pronouns. The Billboard Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday evening. Out artist Sam Smith racked up 13 total nominations including Top Artist and Pentatonix is nominated in Top Billboard 200 Album for That's Christmas to Me and Top Billboard 200 Artist. Laverne Cox will be presenting at the awards, as will Pentatonix, and out Empire actor and musician Jussie Smollett will perform with co-stars Bryshere Gray and Estelle. Billboard Music Awards: Sunday, 8pm on ABC.

Hollywood's biggest stars are having fun to raise money on Red Nose Day benefiting children and young people in the U.S. and abroad. Out stars including Neil Patrick Harris, Michelle Rodriguez,Ian McKellen, Billy Eichner, Samira Wiley, Lea DeLaria, and more are set to participate. Red Nose Day: Thursday, 6pm on NBC.

On daytime, check your local listings for information about EllenThe Talk (CBS), The Gossip Table (VH1), The View (ABC) and The Chew (ABC). Soap operas Days of Our Lives on NBC, The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS, and General Hospital on ABC (check local listings) all feature out characters.
