The documentary Limited Partnership premieres on Independent Lens this week. The film is the true story of Richard Adams and Tony Sullivan, one of six gay couples to be legally married in Boulder, Colorado in 1975. They filed the first federal lawsuit seeking equal recognition for same-sex marriages after Sullivan (an Australian citizen) was denied an application for resident status based on marriage. Limited Partnership: Monday, 10pm on PBS.
Out actor Jim Parsons will be featured on Inside the Actors Studio. This is Parsons first appearance on the James Lipton-hosted series and he will be talking about his theater roots and growing up in Houston, his hit TV series The Big Bang Theory and his current Broadway starring role in An Act of God, and his relationship with longtime partner Todd Spiewak. Inside the Actors Studio: Thursday, 8pm on Bravo.
Friday's new episode of The Briefcase features the Vendely-Salgado Family from Miami, FL. Each episode sees two families who are struggling financially being given a briefcase with $101,000 and 72 hours to get to know the other family before deciding how much (if any) of the money they will give to them and what they'll keep for themselves without knowing that the other family also received the same briefcase and instructions. Amari is a transgender man and this money could help him to fund his transition, as well as help he and his partner Natalie and their three children move out of Natalie's grandmother's and get their own home. The Briefcase: Friday, 8pm on CBS.
Orphan Black's third season wraps up this week. Sarah is forced to make uneasy alliances as the Leda team gets closer to the truth and lives depend on her decision. Meanwhile, the results of Alison's school board trustee vote are in and Donnie gives Helena an unexpected "gift." Orphan Black: Saturday, 9pm on BBC America.
