Today, the Huffington Post debuted GLAAD's short documentary film looking at the lives of LGBT people and allies living in South Carolina, called "GLAAD Presents: State of Change – South Carolina." This documentary is the first in a series of six films that will share the experiences of, and accelerate acceptance for, LGBT people and communities across the U.S. South.
The short film was produced and directed by Claire Pires as part of GLAAD's Southern Stories program and premiered on June 15 in Charleston and Columbia, SC, during GLAAD's Southern Stories Summer Tour. As part of the Summer Tour, GLAAD is meeting with local LGBT advocates in six Southern states and bringing attention to their stories.
