Are you, or do you know, a teenage girl who is pretty amazing? Seventeen Magazine wants to hear from you. Our friends at Seventeen are once again seeking amazing young women for their annual "Pretty Amazing" contest.

The top five finalists will be flown to New York or LA to participate in a photo shoot and the winner will be on the cover of the magazine and win a $10,000 scholarship from Neutrogena.

Last year, Spirit Day founder and lead ambassador Brittany McMillan was one of the finalists.

Seventeen was also a very active participant in Spirit Day last year. Seventeen's Editor-in-Chief, Ann Shoket wrote on her blog: "Last year, 3 million people joined Spirit Day by wearing purple (in real life and on Twitter). This year, on October 19th, we have the opportunity to rally together once again to make an even bigger impact."

Those who wish to enter this year's Pretty Amazing contest must write a short essay explaining what makes them "pretty amazing" and submit two photos of themselves.

This year, the winner will be picked, in part, by celebrity judge Carly Rae Jepsen, who recently pulled out of performing at the Boy Scout Jamboree after GLAAD urged her to reconsider until the Boy Scouts lifts its ban on openly LGBT members.
