ELIXHER, an "award-winning online destination for black lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer women," is launching the new digital ELIXHER Magazine at Washington, D.C.'s Tabaq Bistro this Saturday, March 30. The magazine's inaugural cover girl AzMarie Livingston (Logo's DTLA, America's Next Top Model) will make a special guest appearance at the launch event from 10:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.
The launch party will also serve as a chance to celebrate ELIXHER's two-year anniversary. Since its creation in 2011, the ELIXHER website has served as a news hub and community meeting place for black LGBT women.
Proceeds from the event will go towards ELIXHER's Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to cover the cost of increased website traffic, digital magazine overhead, legal and promotional fees, as well as expanding ELIXHER mixers to new cities such as Chicago, Oakland and Atlanta.
For a $15 donation guests will enjoy music by DJ Mursi Layne, one of New York City's hottest female deejays, and a $30 donation will allow patrons exclusive access to the party's VIP lounge where they can socialize alongside celebrity guest AzMarie Livingston. There will also be numerous raffles and giveaways throughout the night.
