Bravo has released a special video of the Beekman Boys on their website featuring Brent Ridge proposing to his partner of 13 years, Josh Kilmer-Purcell.
GLAAD first reported the engagement back in December. Brent used the launch party celebrating their new “Lump of Kohl” line from their Beekman1802.com brand as an opportunity to keep the proposal a surprise while gathering all of their friends in one place. Brent explains that he and Real Housewives of NYC star, Sonja Morgan, who threw the party for the Beekman Boys, “even went as far as to have buyers and beauty editors at the event so that as Josh was mingling he still wouldn't suspect anything.”
And he didn’t suspect anything, as Josh says, “I was completely surprised. I did think it was a little odd that so many of our friends were at a press event, but it was the Holidays, so I figured Brent invited anyone who wanted to come party.”
Josh and Brent starred in the Fabulous Beekman Boys, which was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award and will return on September 20 on The Cooking Channel. As for when the wedding will take place, Brent says they “have a date in mind, but are still planning with our families. We'd love to share our wedding with our friends and followers if we can.”
Their fans will also be happy to know that the Beekman Boys will be taking part in the upcoming season of CBS’ The Amazing Race which premieres on September 30. And, for those who can’t wait that long and are in NY, you can meet them at the annual Sharon Springs Harvest Festival from Friday September 14 to Sunday September 16.
