Trans Pride roundup 2013!

ROUNDUP: TRANS MARCHES & EVENTS FOR PRIDE MONTH

As we continue to celebrate Pride Month, GLAAD invites you to march for trans equality all over the country! Here is a roundup of trans marches and pride events going on in the next few weeks:

June 21st and 22nd: Trans Pride L.A. 2013
When: Starts Friday, June 21st at 7:30 PM
Where: The Village at Ed Gould Plaza, Los Angeles (see schedule for details)
Who: Hosted by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and co-sponsored by Gender Justice L.A., Los Angeles Transgender Film Festival and Transgender Law Center.
What: A series of performances, film screenings, and workshops celebrating Los Angeles' trans and genderqueer community. Schedule here.  

June 28th: The 9th Annual Trans Day of Action for Social and Economic Justice - New York City
When: 2-5 PM
Where: Christopher Street Pier, New York City
Who: Organized by the Audre Lorde Project.
What: A rally and march to celebrate trans and gender non-conforming people of color and the communities that help lift them up!

June 28th: The 10th Annual San Francisco Trans Rally - San Francisco
When: 1 PM
Where: Dolores Park, San Francisco
Who:  Organized by a grassroots Steering Committee, financially sponsored by the Queer Cultural Center/ National Queer Arts Festival.
What: A picnic and march celebrating trans and gender non-conforming people and allies and the work they do! See Facebook event for schedule.

June 28th: Seattle Trans* Pride March - Seattle
When: 5 PM
Where: In front of Seattle Central Community College
Who: Trans* Pride Seattle is organized by Gender Justice League in affiliation with Seattle Out & Proud and financially sponsored by Gay City Health Project.
What: The Trans* Pride March is part of Trans* Pride Seattle, an event intended to raise awareness and support for the Trans* community. See website for schedule.

July 28th: T.G.I.F. (Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex Freedom) 2013 - Chicago
When: 12 PM
Where: Union Park, Chicago
Who: Organized by KOKUMOMEDIA
What: A free, public event held to address the state of which includes a rally, picnic, and several performances. This year's theme is "Transcending Pride, Evolving Movements."
