1) Kevin Keller artist and writer Dan Parent revealed that Archie and friends will be cancelling the Russia portion of an upcoming story line that sees the group traveling through four European countries. "In an upcoming special four issue story arc I’m writing, the Archie gang are going to take a world tour to four countries. Russia was to be one of them. But they’re not going there now. They just can’t and they won’t. They love and support Kevin.”
2) Fox executives recently revealed that a live stage musical of Glee is in the works. No details are yet known about the possible storyline or cast. Glee previously hit the stage during sold out concert tours in 2010 and 2011 where cast members, including Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Naya Rivera and Heather Morris performed, hit songs from the series. Glee has been renewed for two more seasons by Fox, guaranteeing an on-air run through at least 2015, with season 5 premiering Thursday, September 26 at 9 pm on Fox.
3) Lady Gaga released her new single "Applause" early this week, although the song was originally scheduled to premiere next Monday, August 19. Gaga's new album ARTPOP will hit shelves on November 11 along with a smart phone app she describes as "a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology." 4) The new documentary Visible Silence: Thai Tomboys and the Ladies Who Love Them hopes to raise funds to premiere the film just as an historic LGBT civil unions bill is poised to go before the Thai parliament. The documentary shares the stories of Thai lesbians striving for visibility and acceptance in their society. Learn more at the Visible Silence rally page and watch the trailer below.
