Earlier this year, The United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced a decision to partner with consultant, personal coach and fimmaker, Shiv Paul, to sponsor screenings of his documentary featuring four LGBT amateur tennis players at upcoming professional tennis tournaments. Paul says, "It's the first time something of this nature has been done and it's an exciting opportunity to connect more widely and deeply with LGBT communities in different cities. It's also a way to challenge everyone on the stereotypes they have of what it means not just to be an LGBT athlete but an athlete in general. My goal is to impact people and have them reconsider how they look at others who are 'different' and how they look at themselves. There will be plenty more to come after this series of events!" Buying a ticket to the tournament with a special promo code gets you free entry to a VIP event that includes cocktails and hors d'oevures, Queens at Court screening and Q&A with the Director before enjoying match play.
July 28 - Citi Open, Washington, D.C.,
August 6 - Rogers Cup, Toronto
August 20 - Winston-Salem Open, N.C.
