In honor of Spirit Day, GLAAD is giving away pairs of tickets to three contest winners who will get to attend AT&T's Live Proud finale event, featuring an intimate live performance by Adam Lambert.
LGBT advocate and performer Adam Lambert has teamed up again with AT&T for the "Live Proud" campaign that encouraged LGBT folks to share how they "live proud" by creating memes for social media.
To enter the contest, tweet using the hashtag #SpiritDay to tell GLAAD why you support LGBT youth. Winners will be picked on Thursday, October 9. The event and private performance will be held the evening of Monday, October 13 at the Highline Ballroom in New York City.
Live Proud celebrates awareness, empowerment, and pride for the LGBT community. In addition to taking place the week of Spirit Day, the Live Proud finale event also occurs during LGBT History Month. Check out GLAAD's interview with Adam about Live Proud and LGBT advocacy here.
With Spirit Day around the corner, Adam, AT&T, and LEAGUE at AT&T are working hard to continue their support LGBT youth, as they have all participated in the annual awareness campaign in past years. Spirit Day, which will take place on October 16, inspires millions to wear purple or ‘go purple’ online in a united stand against bullying and to show their support for LGBT youth. Each year, Spirit Day draws the participation of celebrities, corporations, media outlets, sports leagues, schools, faith institutions, national landmarks, and individuals. Spirit Day is made possible by the generous support of its national partners PepsiCo and Wells Fargo, as well as official partner Comcast-NBCUniversal, and supporting partner American Eagle Outfitters.
