#PrideInPrevention is a new campaign launched by AIDS United to help spread the word about HIV prevention. In order to raise awareness and engage in the discussion, AIDS United is challenging you to create a short PSA video or commercial that focuses on HIV prevention among gay and bisexual men in your community. Even though there have been great strides in the movement toward ending HIV, it is still something that greatly affects the LGBT community. Each year, 50,000 people in the United States are affected by HIV, and sixty-three percent of these cases are gay and bisexual men. Additionally, HIV infection rates among young gay and bisexual men have increased 22% since 2008. This epidemic cannot end until we all take #PrideInPrevention. By making a video for AIDS United's #PrideInPrevention, you can help spread the word and raise awareness about the importance of HIV prevention. Three individuals will each win $500 in prizes and two organizations will be granted $2500 toward continuing their work in HIV prevention. Learn more about the campaign at www.aidsunited.org/pride

Last week, GLAAD announced a partnership with AIDS United and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation to release a guide for talking about HIV and AIDS in the media. You can download it here.
