Lean In, the non-profit organization that empowers women to achieve their ambitions, has teamed up with the NBA and WNBA to engage men as vocal advocates for gender equality.

“Men should support their wives and daughters at home and their female colleagues in the workplace, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s great for them,” said Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO and founder of LeanIn.Org. “From stronger marriages and healthier, happier children to better outcomes at work, the benefits of men leaning in for equality are huge.”

As part of #LeanInTogether, the campaign's site offers practical tips and strategies for men to use at home or at work (including as supervisors) to make gender equality a reality. The tips include things like sharing responsibilities at home, challenging gender norms, changing the "likeability penality," and more, with facts, figures, and solutions to go along with them.

There are also a wealth of accessible videos and articles that can be used by all as resources for solutions and education.

NBA All-Stars Chris Bosh, Stephen Curry, Al Horford, Kyle Lowry, and Dwyane Wade, as well as WNBA All-Stars Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Elena Delle Donne, and Skylar Diggins are among those participating in the viral campaign that aims to demonstrate that, "when men lean in for equality, everyone wins."

Along with celebrities, people, and groups are already participating in the new campaign by posting pictures and using the hashtag, #LeanInTogether:

The numerous partners pledging support for #LeanInTogether include GLAAD, Facebook, Google, Getty, Girl Scouts, National Urban League, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, DoSomething.org, The Clinton Foundation, AOL, and more. GLAAD is the only LGBT-specific organization serving as an official partner.
