Here's another reason to tune in for tonight's episode of The Mindy Project: Laverne Cox will be guest starring as Sheena, an aspiring personal stylist and cousin of nurse Tamra (Xosha Roquemore). In the episode, Cox's character Sheena helps Mindy as she struggles with her body image once her pregnancy begins to show. As Tamra and Sheena work to restore Mindy's confidence, a heartbroken Jeremy tries dating again and runs into Jessica, Morgan's girlfriend (guest star Julia Stiles). Check out a sneak peek below.
Laverne Cox is best known for her work on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black as Sophia, a trans woman imprisoned for credit card fraud. Cox was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Series for her work on the show, making her the first transgender person to be nominated in an Emmy acting category. Cox also received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at last year's 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
