Must-See LGBT TV 4/26-5/2: Daytime Emmy Awards and more!

Grab the remote, set your DVR or queue up your streaming service of choice! GLAAD is bringing you the highlights in LGBT on TV this week. Check back every Sunday for up-to-date coverage in LGBT-inclusive programming on TV.

The 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards air on Sunday. The Laverne Cox-hosted special Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word is nominated for Outstanding Special Class Special. The documentary looks at the lives of seven trans youth, who range from ages 12 – 24, and explores their individual journeys to overcome challenges such as bullying and anti-transgender violence. The Ellen DeGeneres Show has picked up nominations in 10 categories, The Talk (CBS), which features out co-host Sara Gilbert, is nominated for a total of 7 awards. LGBT-inclusive web-series Beacon Hill the Series, East Los High, and Anacostia are among the nominees for Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series.
