In the premiere, Ethan flees London after the massacre he committed, Dr. Frankenstein works to bring Brona back to life, and Malcolm returns to London to find Evelyn Poole tormenting Vanessa with a barrage of disturbing occult images. The documentary Kumu Hina will premiere on PBS' Independent Lens on Monday night. The film follows Hina Wong-Kalu, a transgender native Hawaiian teacher and cultural icon for Hawaii's mahu (those who embody both a male and female spirit). As Hina plans the school's final all-boy hula performance, she meets mahu sixth-grader Ho'onanani who is navigating the mixed reactions of friends and family. As Hina and Ho'onanani bond, the power of culture and tradition becomes clear as it helps instill a sense of pride and acceptance in the grade schooler. Kumu Hina: Monday, 10pm on PBS.
Monday night's episode of Banana focuses on trans character Helen played by British trans actress Bethany Black. In the episode, Helen turns to her parents for support after a jealous ex-boyfriend posts sexual videos of her on social media as revenge when he finds out she is moving on and dating new men. Banana is an interconnected sister series of Cucumber, both by Russell T. Davies. Cucumber& Banana: Monday, starting at 10pm on Logo.
All 13 episodes of the new half hour comedy Grace and Frankie premiere on Netflix on Friday! The show focuses on archenemies Frankie (out actress Lily Tomlin) and Grace (Jane Fonda) who find their lives changed completely and permanently entangled after their husbands Sol and Robert (Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen) announce they are in love with each other and plan to marry.
